A Letter from Kerry & Bobbi
We are excited to become first-time parents to a child of any race and to grow our family through adoption! We have been blessed with a well-established, loving marriage and a peaceful, spacious home in beautiful Pennsylvania. The flexibility in our careers and our financial stability will allow us to share equally in the joys and responsibilities of parenting.
We anticipate special family times together singing, biking, camping, and playing games! We look forward to embracing the everyday wonders of life as your child learns new things and discovers their unique God-given gifts and interests.
We met in the cafeteria during our freshman year of college. Kerry’s class on interpersonal relationships provided important communication activities that gave us a healthy start. We married shortly after graduating from college and our bond has strengthened over the years through shared experiences and confronting life’s challenges.
Together, we enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, attending Christian music concerts, visiting our friends in Japan, and sharing our home with others. Similar to our own childhood experiences, we look forward to sharing bedtime stories and prayer with your child.
Kerry’s patience and tenderness, along with his natural ability to nurture, have uniquely prepared him for fatherhood. He often goes out of his way to serve and care for those in need. On many occasions, he has stopped to assist a stranded motorist or expedite a turtle crossing the road. One evening, he stopped to save ducklings from a storm drain!
Some of Kerry’s hobbies include superhero movies, cars, and cleaning. He enjoys taking care of the house and vehicles, and he does most of the cleaning. Kerry loves to be with people, to laugh and to have fun. He looks forward to funny questions, the sense of curiosity, and laughing with your child about everyday life!
Bobbi’s quiet and consistent demeanor fosters a calm and secure environment for your child to grow and learn. Her ability to listen, understand, and communicate allows her to care for others through relational ministries at our church.
Bobbi loves being outside — walking, biking, reading, working in the yard, playing soccer, or just enjoying nature. She volunteers in the church nursery and loves to snuggle and play with the babies and toddlers. Bobbi especially looks forward to cuddling and reading bedtime stories with your child!
Our prairie-style three-bedroom ranch home is located in a quiet suburban community, within walking distance of several parks and schools. True to our favorite architect, we designed our house with lots of windows and doors which draw people outside to the large deck and patio. Downstairs is a fully finished walk-out basement with even more space for playing!
We enjoy hosting picnics on the deck, sitting around the fire with friends, and watching movies in the theater room. We have had many occasions to share our home with international students from Japan, Spain, Korea, and China. When your child is older, we would hope to continue similar hosting opportunities and learn about other cultures together.
We were both blessed to grow up in loving Christian families who taught us to use our God-given resources and strengths to serve others. Kerry’s sister loves to cook, and we spend Thanksgiving with her and her family each year. Bobbi’s brother and his family live at a lake nearby, and they take our family and friends boating, tubing, and wake-boarding in the summer. Together, we all look forward to welcoming your child into the family!
We commit to providing a home where your child is always loved and accepted, and where their uniqueness is recognized and appreciated. We promise to teach your child the values of respect, love, and grace through modeling these values in our home, teaching them through everyday events, and attending church together regularly. Our hearts’ desire is that our home will be a safe place where we explore, laugh, and grow together.
We hope to build a relationship with you through updates, pictures, and occasional visits if you wish.

More About Our Family
Our faith in Jesus is a daily journey of learning to love better. We are active in a grace-filled church that is centered on God’s love and how we care for others. We are blessed with a great support system of trusted Christian friends who connect regularly to encourage and challenge one another. Our church includes many families who have adopted children, fostered children, or hosted international students in their homes.
Our Cultural Experiences
Over the years, we have traveled to Peru, Japan, Jordan, Israel, and Mexico. Many of these trips were service-oriented, relationship-building trips where we engaged in the culture directly.
Our Musical Interest
We both enjoy singing and listening to music, primarily Christian contemporary music like MercyMe. On our first date, we sang together in the car to the songs on the radio!
Our area has many beautiful lakes, streams, and family-friendly hiking/biking trails. In the summer and fall, there are festivals and fairs to attend. We are close enough for day trips to animal parks like Lake Tobias, to amusement parks like Hershey Park, and to cities like Gettysburg PA and Washington DC to explore our country’s history.
