Hello from Maryland! Our loved ones would say we are down-to-earth, dependable, and hard-working. We find a lot of joy in the little things, like family dinners and reading books to our daughter. Being parents has been such a blessing for us, and after going through secondary infertility we feel led to grow our family through adoption. We’d love to open our hearts to you and your child, sharing an ongoing connection, if you’d like. Thank you for learning a little about us!
Our Story
We met online and instantly had a connection. Our journey leading up to now has spanned over two states and thousands of miles. During the four years that we were dating, we were long distance, but we knew we had something really special. Each weekend, one of us would drive over three hours so we could spend time together. We have now been happily married for over eight years.
Things we love to do together:
• Date nights (we get a monthly “date box” with fun ideas!)
• Swimming at the community pool
• Wind down with our favorite TV shows
• Play foosball (we love friendly competition!)
• Walk to the park to see the farm animals
• Go to local festivals
What JP says about Carolyn...
Carolyn is my best friend and the love of my life. She is a loving mother who plans many enjoyable experiences for our family. We always have something new and fun to do! She has truly made our house into a home with her skills in home projects, and she teaches our daughter to embrace her imagination and creativity.
Carolyn likes to:
• Cook healthy meals (even baby food from scratch!)

• Draw or make crafts
• Decorate our home
What Carolyn says about JP...
JP is a very devoted husband and father. I love his fun personality! He is very outgoing and makes me laugh all the time. Our daughter just adores JP. It is such a joy to watch the two of them play and have fun together. He is always the one who puts the biggest smile on her face. JP would do anything for our kids!
JP likes to:

• Follow Philadelphia sports
• Do yardwork (he finds it relaxing!)

Family Life
Our Daughter: Penny is very gentle and caring. She is nurturing too, always caring for her stuffed toys as if they were babies. Penny enjoys her sports, playing games, reading, and coloring. She’s excited to become a big sister!
Extended Family: We come from BIG families! Carolyn is from a family of four and JP is from a family of six. Most of our family lives two hours away, so we make day and weekend trips to visit often. Everyone is thrilled that we want to adopt a child!
Our Home in Maryland
We live in a three-bedroom home located in a tight-knit community. You often see kids riding their bikes around the neighborhood or down to the park or pool. We have a room ready to decorate for the child we adopt and JP just built an awesome playset in our fenced-in backyard.
We love that our community is safe and family-oriented. There are year-around events that are offered for children such as parades, festivals, egg hunts, and fireworks.
