A Letter from Zach & Alison
Thank you for considering us and helping our family grow. We are born-again Christians with evidence shown in our faith, our jobs, and socially. We both value education and have our Bachelor and MBA degrees. We promise to teach your child to be empathetic and to have compassion for others while providing them with the best possible education in a loving and fun household. We look forward to having both you and your child become a part of our family.
We first met at college in the Southeast. Eight years later, we ran into each other at church in Houston. We instantly clicked and immediately fit into each other’s lives. We enjoy traveling, reading, performing arts, spending time with family and friends plus attending sporting events. We just attended our first cricket match ever, while in Barbados.
We look forward to including your child in our adventures around the world and providing him/her with a strong foundation and experiences that help them grow with the support of friends, family and loved ones.
Zach is a calm, reserved and dedicated man with a strong sense of faith that matches my own. He’s quick to stand up for the underdog and lends a listening ear to friends in need of help. They often ask for and follow his advice. He is wonderful with my family and the children took to him instantly! Zach enjoys cooking, current events, reading, solving crossword puzzles and spending time with family. His latest hobby is assembling Lego kits, such as the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. I know he will be an amazing father and that he is looking forward to sharing his love of puzzles with our child.
Alison comes from a long line of educators. She is very energetic, outgoing, and always puts others first. She is never afraid to express herself and to stand up for those she feels are not being treated right. Alison is an active member of her sorority and enjoys spending time supporting their various community service projects, especially the youth-centered plans. She enjoys reading, dancing, and technology. Her guilty pleasures are staying current on the latest pop culture fads and watching a few reality shows. She is my biggest cheerleader and always has my back or those of her family and friends. I know that she will be a phenomenal mother and that she is looking forward to sharing her love of reading with our child.
We live in a family-friendly waterfront community with a beautiful skyline view. Our building includes a playroom, movie room and a variety of play date activities for all children in the community year-round. Our home is walking distance from two parks, the grocery store, coffee shops, and three daycare centers. Our neighborhood also has Movies on the Green with various family films during the summer.
We have several parks, farmers markets, sports leagues of all ages and a wonderful melting pot of various cultures. We’re less than 20 minutes from the cultural epicenter of theaters, dance companies, museums and libraries in New York City. We look forward to sharing it all with your child!
Both of our families are beyond excited for our adoption. Alison’s parents are already looking forward to teaching our child how to play golf and sharing the joys of reading and learning. We have a great village of people we’ve known for seven to 25 years that we consider family. They are so excited to welcome a new member to the family. We are excited to introduce your child to our church family and will raise them in a faith-based household. We will provide cultural trips, playdates, interaction with other African-American families, and knowledge of self, plus the great people in their history.
We promise to love and cherish your child all our lives. We will help them discover their talents and interests, then provide them with support as they develop. We look forward to helping them grow up to be an independent, kind and faith-filled member of society. They’ll be surrounded by family, love, and friends.
We promise to provide them with life experiences via school, home and travel across the US and overseas.
We’re open to providing photos, updates, artwork, and visits when you feel comfortable. We look forward to meeting you and any family members you’d like us to meet or would like to meet us.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Both of us enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends and attending sporting events. We actually just attended our first cricket match ever, while in Barbados.
We believe that Christ died for our sins and he was the walking reincarnation of God. We'll continue the tradition of attending church, as a family. We'll include our child in our community service and teach that what we do for the least among us is also done unto Him.
Our Musical Interest
Both of our Spotify playlists include everything - literally. We both enjoy gospel, 90s Rhythm & Blues, old school hip-hop and some operas. Zach also is a fan of Motown, neo-soul and artists from the 60s like Sam Cooke, Temptations. Alison has a Broadway playlist of shows she's seen and wants to see. She also keeps an ear out for Disney and kid-friendly artists to use when choreographing her sorority's Little Miss pageants.
