A Letter from LaShon
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am very excited to become a parent and open my home and family to your child. After receiving news that I would not be able to conceive a child on my own, I prayed and God led me to adoption. I am thrilled to begin my adoption journey and am looking forward to sharing a life full of love, laughter, and happiness with your child. Your child will be encouraged to follow their dreams and will always have my support.
I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Education. Immediately after graduation, I taught Language Arts/Social Studies for seven years in the public school district. During my time as a teacher, I lost 30 pounds and it was this weight loss that inspired a career change in me. I wanted to combine my passion for teaching with my love for healthy living, so I decided to join a company that did just that.
A few years later, because of my passion for learning, I enrolled at a local University and, in 2017, I completed my Master in Training and Development degree. I have accomplished my dreams in education and health and am thrilled to now grow my family through adoption.
I love to travel. Last year I took a trip to Dubai, and it was my most favorite trip to date. Reading is also another one of my passions; there is just something about getting lost in reading a good book that feels good to me. I currently attend a weekly Bible Study where we follow a syllabus of reading various books of the Bible and then we meet to discuss the reading.
Physical fitness is also an important part of my life. I used to be an avid runner, and I’m proud to share with you that I ran the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas half marathon once! I now work out with a personal trainer weekly to stay in shape because health is very important to me.
I am excited to share my love for travel and healthy living with your child as well as share with them the joys of reading.
I’m thrilled to experience all of baby’s firsts; the smiles and giggles, first words and steps to name a few.
I am excited to teach my child how to ride their bike and walk beside them as we go to the park together. To sharing my adventures around the world with them and immersing them different cultures as they grow. When it comes time for kindergarten I look forward to sharing with them my love for education and support them in their studies and personal interests. I know that I will be one of those mom’s who is always holding a camera, taking pictures to capture every moment.
Christmas is a very special time of year for my family. We always get together on Christmas Eve and bake cookies for Santa, wrap gifts and sing carols. I’m excited to include my child in these family traditions and look forward to making new ones with them throughout the years.
I am the younger of two girls who grew up in Michigan, where my mother and sister still live. My family is thrilled about my adoption and look forward to adding another family member into our tribe!
My family is the most important part of my life. My parents instilled high integrity, good morals, and strong family values in my sister and I for as long as I can remember. My parents always made my sister and I a priority. They guided us to place a high value on education and responsibility which I look forward to passing on to my child.
My home is in a welcoming community in Michigan. I live in a cute cozy condominium where there are a lot of families with children and pets. My house has two bedrooms, an open basement, and enough space for your baby and I to grow and play together. There are several nearby parks and, not far from my home are some great school districts.
I promise to parent your child with love, support, and positivity. I will always provide them with the absolute best that I can offer and will ensure that they have a safe, stable and warm place to go to. I promise to provide them with a Christian-based home, exposure to the world, and unlimited educational opportunities. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to sharing with you letters, pictures, and visits throughout the years. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

The most important part of my faith is the knowledge that there is nothing that I can do to earn the love of God as it is a gift, paid through the death and bodily resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, who was God’s walking example of his Agape love on earth.
I’m determined to follow the example Jesus Christ set before me. To do so, I continue to learn about Him through the study of His word (the Bible), prayer, and by getting together with other followers of Christ in church and Bible Study.
